The Homestead House Beeswax Sticks are made of natural beeswax. They are used between two paint coats when creating a worn-out finish. Its application prevents the second paint coat from adhering to the first. This method makes it easier to wear the surfaces.
Application:
When the first coat of paint is completely dry, trace some lines to the surface with the wax stick (like a crayon), to prevent the second paint coat from adhering to it. When the paint is dry, lightly rub the surface with a clean cotton cloth to let the first coat appear.
Finish:
Use the wax stick only if you seal your work with a wax or oil finish. You can also finish your surface with a varnish, but it will be necessary to apply a layer of shellac primer beforehand.
