Our carnauba vegetable wax is 100% pure and sold in flakes. It is used with combinations of other waxes (mainly beeswax) for the manufacture of encaustic for furniture.
Carnauba wax is less sensitive to temperature than beeswax. This is it’s main asset. It is also particularly resistant to humidity. Vegetable, harvested on the leaves of carnauba palms of Brazil, it is harder than beeswax.
It is used to make candles, encaustics and some mediums and binders to paint. They are often incorporated in floor oils and car waxes. Carnauba wax is a little less matte than beeswax.
Carnauba wax is a useful and recognized product. Its joint use with beeswax is almost systematic in the decorative field where a variable proportion of about one-third for two-thirds of beeswax is common.
